My Story
At 19 years old I Started my journey at the legendry Geoffrey E MacPherson Ltd as a draftsperson, then went on to become a digitizer and trainer. At 26 I bought my first embroidery machine and started Elle Designs with my best friend Lisa Craddock. Offering workwear, school wear and a range of personalised products. I then moved to AMAYA Sales UK as business development and sales covering all aspects of garment decoration machinery and products. My passion has always been in embroidery, and I noticed there was a huge gap in production training, machines get installed by engineers who can teach you how to run and maintain your machine, but its the practical side of embroidery production which makes or breaks a business. This is why I started Embroidery Academy, to share my knowledge and offer impartial practical advice to help you be a confident and competent embroiderer.
